About Me

In my early 20s I took a leap of faith and became a freelance writer. I started out crafting fashion and culture stories for LA magazines and websites. Soon enough I was writing and producing celebrity cover stories, feature interviews, lifestyle stories and fashion editorials for international editions of ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire.

But my world view really transformed when I began working with Condé Nast Traveler China in 2012 for their launch. Travel journalism brought my real love for exploring how humans interact with the world to the forefront of my consciousness. I became hooked on seeing the big picture and the most intimate little details of the planet—of life—and sharing my perspective on it all.

I’m also a huge wildlife and coastal conservation enthusiast, which inspired me to shift my focus as a writer to environmental stewardship and social advocacy. I worked with Thrive Market as the lifestyle editor creating content to educate readers about conscious living. Nowadays much of my writing reflects my commitment to these issues. I maintain my sensibilities from my background as a fashion editor but now champion eco-friendly, plant-based fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

I geek out on animals, veganism and travel at my blog everythingisnature.org.

In my free time I like to volunteer with Audubon Center at Debs Park, Heal the Bay and Wildlife Waystation. I’m also a singer, drummer, bass player, skater and occasional surfer.
